Free admission to the Vienna Technical Museum with a lottery ticket

Friday, January 19 is another Lotteries Day. It’s all about the energy transition and how we can make it a success.

Global warming and the energy crisis are making the switch to sustainable energy more urgent than ever before. How can we successfully implement the energy transition? What innovations can help us achieve this, and what contributions can we all make in our everyday actions?

After all, energy is a central component of our modern society. Without electricity, heat or mobility, our everyday lives would be simply unimaginable. The advancing climate crisis requires a rapid rethink on how we can satisfy the energy demands of a rapidly growing world population in a more sustainable way.
This exhibition illustrates the complex dynamics of the energy transition and climate crisis, provides an overview of possible strategies and new technologies and aims to open up new perspectives for visitors, empowering them to actively participate in the climate discourse.

Anyone who comes to the Vienna Technical Museum on January 19, 2024 between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm with an Austrian Lotteries ticket, such as a Lotto, Toto, EuroMillions or EuroDreams ticket or a break-¬open or scratch-off ticket, will receive free admission. 

Guided tours of the “Energie: Bitte wenden!” (“Energy: Please Turn!”) exhibition will take place at 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm, and there will be a high-voltage demonstration at 10:15 am, both with limited attendance.

Austrian Lotteries also provides free guided tours for the Red Cross learning centre and the “Stand with Ukraine” initiative.
