Austrian Lotteries wishes the Austrian team at the 2024 PARIS Paralympic Games great success
As a partner of the Austrian Paralympic Committee (ÖPC) from the very beginning, Austrian Lotteries symbolically keeps its fingers crossed for the athletes of the Austrian Paralympics team and wishes them the best of luck and success.
The XVII Summer Paralympics will begin in Paris on August 28. Austrian Lotteries has been a sponsor of the Austrian Paralympic Committee since 1998 and has supported the athletes for many years. The extraordinary achievements of Austria’s athletes with disabilities can be seen every two years on the big stage of the Paralympics.
Of course, athletic success and medals are the focus of attention at the Paralympics. To achieve this, the athletes endure hardship and train rigorously to be able to deliver peak performances at the decisive moment. Still, the Paralympics are about much more than that: they’re about drawing the attention of people in Austria and all over the world to Paralympic sports and to familiarise everyone with these sports even more.
This year, since the start of the Olympics at the end of July, Paris has been particularly focussed on inclusion with the aim of sending an important and historic signal to the world promoting fairness, tolerance and respect.
Erwin van Lambaart, Director General of Austrian Lotteries, commented: “We want to support this goal in the best way possible, as inclusion in general and the recognition of sporting activities as top athletic achievements in particular are very important to us as Austrian Lotteries. That is why we’ve been supporting the Austrian Paralympic Committee for over 25 years and want to continue to be a loyal and reliable partner in the future.”
This year, 24 athletes from Austria will be competing for medals in 11 disciplines. Austrian Lotteries wishes all 24 athletes representing Austria in Paris all the best, great success and whatever bit of luck may be needed in the competition for the medals. Erwin van Lambaart added: “We’re keeping our fingers crossed for all the athletes and hope that the competitions will be a personal moment of glory for them as well as a great moment for Austria.”
