Austrian Lotteries is building an online casino studio in Austria for the first time
Austrian Lotteries has once again proven itself to be one of the most important and innovative employers in the country. The construction of its own online studio in Vienna will create up to 150 additional jobs.
After an intensive planning and construction phase, with high-quality and extensive investments in personnel and premises, Austrian Lotteries is currently adding its own online studio to its win2day gaming website, with a full range of live casino games offered in German. In collaboration with external partner Pragmatic Play, a leading provider of live casino games, numerous new and innovative solutions for technology and the interior were developed for use across over 400 square metres as part of the project. By expanding its gaming site, Austrian Lotteries is strengthening Austria as a business location in a sustainable way. This will create 80 new jobs in Vienna from the outset, with sustainably scouted talent that has been trained for months and supported in its own training programme before the launch of the online casino. In the long term, up to 150 full-time positions are planned.
A wide range of jobs in front of and behind the camera
In the win2day studio developed exclusively for Austria, customers can play blackjack, roulette and game shows online 24/7 – with a local touch and from the comfort of their own home, using their smartphone, tablet or PC. With the world’s first German-language game show, “Crazy Prater Rad”, win2day is also living up to its pioneering role in the gaming industry. A wide range of different job profiles are required to ensure the complex operation of the gaming process – from on-camera game presenters to behind-the-scenes AV and broadcast specialists, shift supervisors and team managers.
Erwin van Lambaart, Director General of Austrian Lotteries, had this to say: “As a leading Austrian company, a responsible business and a top employer, we are an important partner for Austria, particularly in the gaming and entertainment sector, but also beyond these areas. We are continuing along this path with the win2day Online Casino Studio. We are now offering a diverse range of games that we have designed ourselves, creating a safe environment for our players and additional jobs in Vienna.”
Martin Škopek, CEO of Austrian Lotteries, emphasises the sustainability for the domestic economy: “It was important for us to bring the entire value chain in this segment to Austria. By building the online casino studio, we are once again emphasising our pioneering role and strengthening Austria as a location by expanding our expertise and skilled workforce. For us, sustainable player protection also means providing our players with an exclusive, targeted offering tailored to Austria that keeps illegal providers at bay.”
Georg Wawer, win2day’s Managing Director, added: “We are setting new standards with our trendsetting win2day online casino, which we developed in close collaboration with Pragmatic Play, and our responsible live casino games offering. This will enable us to further expand our market position in Austria and consistently differentiate ourselves from existing illegal offers. By providing a professional environment and using AI, as we do for our lottery health check on win2day, we guarantee a safer gaming environment that offers players the highest level of professionalism in the way games are run while also providing an exciting experience.”
