Austrian Inclusion Award 2024: eight lighthouse projects honoured

Launched in 2016 by Austrian Lotteries together with the Lebenshilfe Austria organisation, the annual Inclusion Award (Inklusionspreis) demonstrates what can be achieved when it comes to removing barriers for people with disabilities.

On November 26, Lebenshilfe Austria and Austrian Lotteries awarded prizes to eight innovative organisations and initiatives working towards a more inclusive society and the removal of barriers for people with disabilities. The award ceremony took place at the Kursalon Hübner in Vienna and was hosted by ORF presenter Miriam Labus. A prominent jury selected the award winners from over 130 entries.

Each year, Austrian Lotteries awards a 5,000-euro sponsorship prize to one project that stands out in particular. This sponsorship award went to the media project “Our Bodies – Association for Feminist Health Journalism”, Austria’s first feminist-oriented health magazine that offers content in easy language and sign language especially for people with disabilities.
